Day 1 : March 23rd, 2013

08:30 – welcome of participants

09:00 – introduction by the International Secretariat of the WFSD
09:15 – opening speech by a representative of the Faculty of Humanities of Tunis
09:30 – round-table ‘Science, technique and rights’ with Marie-Angèle Hermitte (CNRS) and Silvia Ribeiro (ETC Group)

11:00 – break
11:15 – round-table ‘University and society’ with Denis Bélisle (FQPPU) and a representative of El Manar University

12:45 – lunch break

15:00 – 3 workshops (simultaneously, length: 3h30)
> Health, ethics and democracy
> Scientific and technical culture: democracy and stakes for society
> Nanotechnologies, geo-engineering, synthetic biology and the Need for Global-to-Local Technology Assessment

18:30 – end of the first day

Day 2: March 24th, 2013
